Why do I feel angry all the time since having my baby?
Share
Question from Jessica M., 32, Canada. Mom to twin 7-month-old boys.
Oh mama, if you’re feeling like you could snap at the smallest thing — you are not broken.Â
Postpartum anger is so real — but nobody warns us about it.
I remember resenting everything:
- The constant cries.
- The clueless advice.
- The partner who could somehow still sleep.
The truth is, anger after having a baby isn’t a failure — it’s a signal.
It’s your body screaming: I need help. I need rest. I need me back.
For me, the shift started with one small, stubborn act of care.
I found a soft, breathable nursing bra that didn’t make my skin crawl — something that felt kind when everything else felt hard. It wasn’t magic. But it mattered.
It was one tiny reminder that I was still worthy of comfort, even in the chaos.
Please hear me when I say:
You are not a bad mom for feeling angry.
You are a good mom who needs nurturing too.Â
Start small, mama. And don't forget to ask for help when you need it. You deserve it.
Love,
Lina P.
