Dairy-Free Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie for First Trimester Bloating

Dairy-Free Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie for First Trimester Bloating

The day I made this Dairy-Free Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie, I truly felt like my body had skipped ahead a few months.

The bloating was intense, tight, and uncomfortable enough to make me want to cry. I needed relief fast, not something complicated.

If you love bright flavors like my Dairy-Free Mango Banana Lime Smoothie, this one lives in that same light, barely sweet place that feels manageable when everything feels overwhelming (especially your stomach).

Why This Pregnancy Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie Recipe for First Trimester Works

  • Helps ease bloating. Apricot, ginger, and turmeric support digestion when swelling feels intense.
  • Light and hydrating. Cashew milk keeps it creamy without heaviness.
  • Gentle brightness. Lime adds freshness without overwhelming the stomach.
  • Dairy-free. It doesn't upset already sensitive stomachs.

How These Ingredients Support You & The Baby

That afternoon, I had a pitcher of fresh cashew milk in the fridge and frozen apricots waiting in the freezer.

The smoothie came together soft and creamy, with a gentle chill that felt instantly calming. The apricots were mellow and fruity, the lime added brightness, and the turmeric and ginger worked quietly in the background.

It reminded me of the way my Dairy-Free Pineapple Mango Smoothie feels on days when water-based blends are all my stomach can handle.

Tips & Variations For the Best Pregnancy-Safe Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie

  • Sweeten it naturally: 1 large frozen banana cut into chunks or 2-3 pitted Medjool dates can substitute the honey for a naturally-sweet drink.
  • Swap the milk: Any plain, plant-based milk works for this recipe. I love my 10-Minute Almond Milk, 5-Minute Oat Milk, Pistachio Milk, rice milk, or coconut milk. If you prefer sweetened milk, try my Sweetened Almond Milk (3-Ways!).
  • More fruit: Sometimes I'm feeling like an apricot-berries smoothie, for which I'll add 1/2 cup frozen berries or strawberries to the ingredients.
  • Add protein: Add 1-2 tablespoons Sugar-Free Almond Butter or 1-Ingredient Pistachio Butter to the ingredients for a creamier, more filling smoothie. Pistachio butter will change the color of the smoothie, though.
  • Make it heartier: Add 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats or 1 tablespoon chia seeds for a more filling drink.
  • Add ice: Throwing 1-3 ice cubes in the blender with the rest of the ingredients can make the smoothie extra cold, which often helps when nausea is at an all-time high.

What to Serve With This Apricot Turmeric Lime Smoothie

How to Store This Smoothie

  • Fridge: Transfer to an airtight container or jar (fill to the top to minimize air exposure) and store for up to 2 days. Shake/stir well before drinking, as natural separation occurs.
  • Freezer (smoothie packs): Except for the cashew milk and honey, add all the ingredients to a freezer-safe bag. Freeze for up to 3 months. Add to the blender along with the remaining ingredients for a quick breakfast.
